ACNJ's New Corona Virus COVID-19 Safety Procedures

At ACNJ, we are now open for established and new patients! Call or email us to submit an appointment request. We have implemented many COVID-19 safety guidelines to protect patients and staff. Learn how we are providing acupuncture treatments in the safest way possible. Below are the steps we have taken to ensure your health and safety as well as our staff.

  1. We have installed a plexiglass barrier between the reception area and the waiting room and a plastic curtain between the reception area and the treatment room hallway.

  2. We take everyone’s temperature when they enter the office, including practitioners and staff.

  3. We screen all patients to determine if they have had COVID symptoms or been in contact with anyone who has. We ask all patients if they’ve recently travelled from states that are on the most current quarantine list.

  4. We will enforce strict hand-washing procedures. Upon entry, patients will be required to wash their hands before entering office area. Practitioners will wash hands before every patient encounter.

  5. Patients, staff and practitioners will wear masks at all times. Masks, gloves, disinfectant and other protective gear will be used and kept in stock.

  6. In most cases we will take patients directly into treatment rooms. If patients need to sit or stand in waiting room there will be designated chairs and places to stand to ensure proper social distancing.

  7. After each treatment, a powerful, anti-viral UV light will be powered on for 15 minutes. The room will then be thoroughly cleaned with strong disinfectant. Rooms will remain unoccupied for at least 30 minutes between treatments.

  8. Treatment rooms, bathrooms, door handles, switches and all surfaces will be cleaned and wiped down after each patient encounter and regularly throughout the day with medical-grade sanitizer.

  9. We will limit patient appointments to ensure proper social distancing and time to clean rooms thoroughly.

  10. We will continually educate ourselves and adhere to best practice guidelines related to workplace safety as directed by professional and governmental bodies.
